the Clearstone Lodge, its accommodations, decor, amenities, and pricing, as well

Our Profile
Lake Side Setting
Clearstone Lodge is a bed and breakfast and cottage get-a-way on a 95-acre property directly
joining the south shore of Rice
Lake in south central Ontario, Canada. It is 1.5 hours east of Toronto, 2 hours west
of Kingston, Ontario, or 21 minutes north of Cobourg, Ontario between Harwood and Roseneath.
The property features grassy meadows, rolling hills, and cedar forests, with 350
meters of lake front shoreline for your outdoor pleasure. The lodge, open
all year, is a large, vintage, rock home on a hilltop overlooking the famous
Rice Lake. Guest areas include 5 bedrooms, 4 of them with en suites
(private baths), 4 fireplaces, a large 600 sq. ft. meeting room, and dining,
den, and piano rooms. Two 2-bedroom cottages offer an extremely private
setting immediately on the waterfront. These are ideal for any private or
group activities.
Small Group and
Conference Events
Our specialties are small group events, seminars, or meetings for corporate,
private, or church organizations. The optimal group size is for 10-20 people
depending on the room arrangements. Package pricing is available.
The meeting room capacity is 24 seated at seminar tables or 35 in chairs only.
The dining room comfortably seats 24. The optimal sleeping capacity is 20
(up to 28) in the summer and 12 (up to 16) in the winter. Breakfast is
included and served at the lodge in lake view dining. Lunch, dinner, and
refreshment catering are available.
Family Reunions, Parties
In summer, two-bedroom cottages with kitchenettes are along our private shoreline, ideal
for your private get-a-way, parties, family reunions, or events. Fishing,
boating, and barbequing are extremely popular. In winter, cuddle around
our cozy fireplaces or relax in our warm whirlpool bathes. Cross-country
skiing and snowmobiling are nearby.
Romantic Getaways
Clearstone Lodge features 4 bed & breakfast rooms just for couples, two
each with king beds and two each with queen beds. Roses in the room and
breakfast-in-bed are available upon special request in advance.

Clearstone Lodge is an active member of the
Rice Lake Tourists' Association, the
Northumberland Tourist Association,
Federation of Ontario Bed and
Breakfast Accommodation, and the
Cobourg and District
Chamber of Commerce.

Clearstone Lodge bed and breakfast and cottages is privately owned and operated by
a family of six. The innkeeper is Diane Dixon. We
welcome you anytime to our house on the lake.
